Chocolate Chiffon

La la la...happily singing away...for your info, i failed chiffon last week! 3 chiffons in a row all failed...even my usual bread also...dunno what's happening...must be some curse huh...hahha joking..was chatting with my shifu that i dun wanna bake chiffon this week..phobia le...but shifu said, why not give it a try, cannot give up easily...so after dinner, i took the effort to bake...1/2 way baking, i sensed something not right..having shifu to rescue me midway, troubleshooting step by step...nothing went wrong...thanks god! the chiffon came out successful!! so so so happy!! Xie xie ni shifu for the encouragement. Luv u!




  • 30g cake flour
  • 5g cocoa powder 
  • 25g oil
  • 30g milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites
  • 30g sugar
Method:
1. Sift flour and cocoa powder.
2. Hand whisk egg yolks,oil,milk till well combined.
3. Add flour till well combined.
4. Whisk egg whites and sugar to stiff peak.
5. Fold in egg white mixture into egg yolk mixture in 3 batches.
6. Pour into chiffon tin.
7. Bake in a pre heated oven for about 40 minutes at 170°C.
8. Cool upside down on a bottle.
9. Remove from tin after cake has completely cool.
