Cranberry Bean soup in thermal pot

I used a 1.5litre thermal pot (2 pax portion)

Ingredients for soup: (agak agak)
2 pieces of pork bones with some meat
a bunch of cranberry beans (peel skin off)
Few pieces of dried scallop
3 red dates

Method:
Blanched pork bones with hot water. 
Put them in inner pot, add in other ingredients. 
Pour in hot water till 80% full and bring the whole pot to boil for about 10 mins. 
Then cover and put in the outer pot and close lid. 
I let it sit in the pot till after work. Approximately 12 hours. 
When came home from work, the soup is still warm. 
I heat it up on stove and add mee sua. 

Corn Soup in thermal pot

1 corn (break into 2)
Few pieces of dried scallop

I heat it up on stove and add noodles, mushroom, fishball and beancurd skin.

September's Dinner

If you've been following my posts in FB, you will realized that I hardly cook 3 dishes meal for dinner in September..yes..cos my boy says he got no appetite and also we are trying to cut down on heavy dinner..so we opt for soup + noodles...at the beginning, i was not convinced as I told him I'll be hungry before bedtime..so we bough some biscuits to be on standby..now I'm used to it...^^

Corn Egg Soup



Ingredients:
- corn (blanch with hot water then finely chopped)
- egg
- water
- salt
- stock (optional)

Method:
- whisk egg with a pinch of salt in a bowl
- boil a bowl of water enough for 2 pax in a pot
- add in the stock and stir to dissolve it
- stir in corn and simmer for awhile
- pour the whisked egg and stir it
- boil for awhile more before serving
- **optional: you can drizzle some sesame oil

Old Cucumber Soup



Ingredients:
- Pork Bones
- Hot Water
- Old Cucumber (remove seeds and cut to small pieces)
- Red dates

Method:
- Boil water
- Blanch pork bones with hot water
- Put all ingredients and hot water in slow cooker
- Turn to high speed to cook for 3-4 hours
- Put as low speed if you are not at home
- Add salt before serving (optional)


Seaweed Egg Soup



Ingredients:
- dried seaweed
- egg
- water
- salt
- stock (optional)

Method:

Bak Kut Teh

Using La Gourmet Thermal Pot

Ingredients:
- garlic
- pork ribs
- A1 Bak Kut Teh pre pack

Method:
- Blanch ribs with hot water
- Boil a pot of water enough for 3-4 pax
- Add in ribs and garlic and the A1 BKT pre pack
- Put to boil for 10-15 with the inner thermal pot
- Transfer to thermal pot after that
- Approximately after 6-8 hours, the BKT will be well ready (i left mine overnight)
- Remove the inner pot and bring to boil before serving

Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients:
- Cubes (1/4)
- Water
- Pumpkin (cut into small cubes)

Method:
- Boil water
- Dissolve the cube
- Add in pumpkin cubes
- Boil till the pumpkin is soft
- Mash the pumpkin with fork
- Ready to serve




 

Sharkfin Melon Soup

Ingredients:
- Pork Bones
- Hot Water
- Sharkfin Melon (cut to small pieces)
- Red dates

Method:
- Boil water
- Blanch pork bones with hot water
- Put all ingredients and hot water in slow cooker
- Turn to high speed to cook for 3-4 hours
- Put as low speed if you are not at home
- Add salt before serving (optional)





Radish Soup

Ingredients:
- Pork Bones
- Hot Water
- Radish (cut to small pieces)
- Red dates

Method:
- Boil water
- Blanch pork bones with hot water
- Put all ingredients and hot water in slow cooker
- Turn to high speed to cook for 3-4 hours
- Put as low speed if you are not at home
- Add salt before serving (optional)






ABC Soup

Ingredients:
- Pork Bones
- Hot Water
- Potato (2 small-medium size)
- Onions (2)
- Carrot (1)
- Tomato (2)
- Apple (1, optional as i have too many of them in fridge)

Method:
- Boil water
- While waiting, cut all ingredients to small pieces
- Blanch pork bones with hot water
- Put all ingredients and hot water in slow cooker
- Turn to high speed to cook for 3-4 hours
- Put as low speed if you are not at home
- Add salt before serving (optional)
