Air Fried Basque Burnt Cheesecake

Wow. It has been a year since I last update this blog. Just to add on a recent bake I did in July 2019, the ever famous Basque Burnt Cheesecake. I’m using air fryer for this.

250g creamcheese
90g sugar
125ml whipping cream
3 eggs
10g plain flour
1/2tsp vanilla paste

  1. Beat cream cheese and sugar till fluffy.
  2. Add in egg 1 by 1.
  3. Then add in flour, whipping cream and vanilla paste.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Pour into ready lined mould.
  6. Bake in air fryer at 200’C for 30 mins with aluminum foil covered the top.
  7. Remove the aluminium foil and bake for another 8-10mins.
  8. If not burnt enough, add few minutes more.
  9. Allow cake to cool completely before storing in fridge.
  10. Serve chilled. 😍
Baked first round on 11 july 2019 with 90g sugar. Too sweet for me.

Second bake on 15 july 2019, reduced sugar to 45g. Good enough.

Air Fried Marmite Chicken Wings

Seriously, I don't know how to write the recipe for air fried chicken wings. Be it in whichever flavour that I've tested cos I've never measured them. Anyway, based on estimated proportion, here's the things I remember.

4 wings
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
2 tbsp marmite

1. Cut the wings into half. The drummette and wings part
2. Marinade with the sauces
3. Leave in fridge overnight
4. Bring to room temp, then air fry. I did it 15mins for each side bout 170'C. The last 5 mins i put to max heat so that the colour is darker.

Homemade Air Fried Garlic Chips, Granules and Powder

Got the idea from Krystal Wee.

Adapted from: http://foodsharingwithlittleone.blogspot.com/2015/03/homemade-garlic-powder-recipe.html?m=1

For my batch, i peeled 2 bulbs of garlics. Not sure if it's called bulb. Haha. After peeling, I sliced them into thin pieces. Then put them in the air fryer. Mine is Mayer brand from Singapore. I've actually laid the garlic slices below the wire basket as I wanted to minimize them from flying up and get stuck in the fan area. Set at 140-150'C, I've actually air fried them for a total of 35mins. Checking them and shaking them every 10mins. Different air fryer/oven heat varies. So please check frequently ok? Once done, let cool. You can keep them as slices or blend all to powder. For me, i kept some as slice, for hubby to sprinkle on rice. Like those japanese garlic fried rice. The rice I pounded them with pestle and mortar. I sieved them to separate the powder and granules. Granules can be use for stir fry dishes and sprinkles on vege/rice. All up to your imagination. Where the powder can be use as seasoning. Hope this helps. Next I'm gonna try mushroom powder.
